Minnie Mouse Cake for a Mini Beautiful Lady

Our friend's daughter Myrto wanted me to make her cake, for her fifth birthday party.

She had seen a two tiered, Minnie mouse cake in a pastry shop and she asked for one looks alike.

And here's my result:

I had made the Batman cake, the Riddler's hat cake and the Monster high inspired cake for her older brothers and sister, in the past. So she wanted so bad a big cake even thought there were less than15 people at her party...

That's why I used chocolate cake, nutella frosting as filling, buttercream for covering and fondant for the top tier...

...and Styrofoam cylinder covered with fondant, for the base!

I think that's the cutest cake I've made so far. Much better than my first Minnie Mouse Cake, and much cuter than my Mickey Mouse Cake...

Very happy birthday Myrto!

Rolling Stones' birthday cake

This time I made a cake for my birthday boy : )

I made fondant, I colored it, I rolled it and finally I cut it into the Rolling stones' logo shape.

It was by far the most tasteful cake! I used chocolate cake, nutella frosting and I covered it with milk chocolate ganache...

Riddler's Hat Cake

Some days ago, Antonis asked me a cake for his birthday

His favorite hero is Riddler, a Batman's character.
He wanted Riddler's hat for his b-cake.

So, I made him a chocolate cake, full of chocolate syrup and creme patisserie.

Happy Birthday Antony !

A Cake for a Graphic Designer

Some months ago I've been asked to make a cake for a friend's sister.
She's a graphic designer, so we decide to make a typo cake like.

I wish I had Helvetica letter cutters...
It was a fun fun fun progress decorating that cake, and making sure that any inappropriate word would appear while putting the fonts together, teehee... ☺

Under the fondant  there was a chocolate cake, full of syrup and a pink creme patisserie filling, whipped with fresh strawberries.
Happy b-day gal!

Cake Pops

Cake pops are bites of cake, mixed with frosting, covered with chocolate and sprinkles.
...Yeah, I know. Sounds like a sweet heart attack.

Here is one of my early tries to make cake pops, some months ago.
I forgot to post them earlier, but it's never too late.
[Next time I'll post full recipe and photo tutorial. Since then check the ''cake pop qween'' ]

And that little hand couldn't wait for me, to finish with the photos... : )

Nutella chocolate cake [+ nutella frosting recipe]

This is one of the best cake ever made,

...with the yummiest and easiest filling!
Just whip well 500g of nutella with 500g of heavy cream and let it cool overnight.

I whipped my frosting but I had no time to chill it...

I cut my delicious chocolate cake into 3 parts

I filled it up with nutella frosting, using pipping bag and star tip

And I add some colorful sprinkles

After the candles were blown, everyone attacked it with the spoons,
so no plates needed... : D

Lightsaber Cake for a Jedi's Birthday

This is one of my favorite cakes!

It's made for a addicted to STAR WARS dad.

I've made a strawberry filling using
bio strawberries, sugar and corn flour.

I baked a chocolate mini-cake and I filled it up
with fresh strawberry filling.

I whipped Swiss meringue to cover my cake
and I've made two light sabers out of fondant :)

Happy Birthday!!!
