Rapunzel Cupcakes

After the Rapunzel Cake I baked some Rapunzel Cupcakes

Little Nefelie share them with her friends at the kindergarten.
Cupcakes are much useful than birthday cake, for these occasions 'cause you don't have to serve them.

First I baked some delicious chocolate cupcakes with buttermilk.

Then I covered them with pink, fluffy buttercream

And I finished them with fondant details.
Like crowns...

Pascal...

Rapunzel's hair braid...

And the tower she was kept in.

I was so happy with these cupcakes, 'cause they look good and they taste even better!

I hope little ones get as excited with their treat as I did
and Nefelie enjoyed her birthday! :)

Usually cupcakes are a bit "costly  habit". All those ingredients and sprinkles and food colorings and tins and liners and piping tips... But the most frustrating thing issue is, where to find all these fancy staff!

Today I choose some cupcakes for very begginers.
The supplies can be found easily at IKEA stores and they cost less than 11$!

For your very first cupcakes you'll need:

Your favorite cake recipe (or ready to make cake mixture)
For the buttercream frosting : Just wimp well 1 cup butter with 2 cups icing sugar

A muffin tin such as IKEA's
DRÖMMAR (for 9,99 $)
And IKEA's
DRÖMMAR baking cups (for just 0,99 $ /65 cups)

How to bake them:
1) Preheat the oven to 175C / 347F
2) Prepare the cake mxture
3) Put the paper cups in the tin
4) Fill the 2/3 of the cups with the cake mixture
5) Bake them for 15'
6) Wimp the frosting for 10'
7) When the muffins are completly cool, decorate them with buttercream

Animal Printed Cupcakes [ tutorial ]

Here is one more cupcake project that I was long been wanted to try...
I love leopard and zebra prints and they would be great for Valentine's day!
So, here is my tutorial for easy leopard printed cupcakes:

First, you need to bake and cover the cupcakes with chocolate praline (or marmelade, or buttercreme).

{ that's is a little chart on how to design leopard animal print.
1. make a brown dot
2. define it with black parenthesis-like lines
3. the more "dots" you make, the better it looks }

And that's the fun part!
Cover cupcakes with fondant (I colored it beige) and make dots on them using brown food coloring.
To make the coloring paste more thinly, to brush it easyly, I used some drops of vodka (!water doesn't work!)

And stress dots with black touches...

The ended result looks more complecate than it really is :)

Bake some cupcakes and kitsch around! Hehe
